Matt Blumenreich focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and business disputes. Matt has significant courtroom and arbitration experience representing clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to private investors.
Within his broad commercial litigation practice, Matt litigates fraud, breach of contract, and partnership disputes. In the financial sector, he has represented an investment bank in Financial Industry Regulatory (FINRA) arbitrations and investors of a cryptocurrency venture capital fund. Matt also successfully represented a corporate executive in an investigation for alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) where the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) declined charges.
Before entering private practice, Matt served as a law clerk for the Honorable Micaela Alvarez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Matt was also a congressional intern for U.S. Senator John McCain and played varsity baseball for Grinnell College.

- Represented investment bank in substantial Financial Industry Regulatory (FINRA) arbitration where client prevailed on its breach of contract claim and successfully defended against counterclaims.
- Obtained denials of motions for temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction in a lawsuit against the NCAA.
- Represented insurance brokerage and risk management firm in restrictive covenant litigation that resulted in favorable settlement.
- Represented hospital in complex fraud dispute that resulted in favorable settlement.
