Patricia Brown Holmes Awarded Managing Partner of Year by AAMPGC
The African American Managing Partners & General Counsel Networks (AAMPGC) honored Patricia Brown Holmes as “Managing Partner of the Year,” recognizing her countless achievements and years of dedicated leadership as Managing Partner of Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila (RSHC). Also, Sharon Barner, Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer of Cummins, received the “Lifetime Achievement Award.” Patricia and Sharon received their awards on July 15 at the 14th Annual AAMPGC Dinner following the Corporate Counsel Leadership Summit during the National Bar Association’s (NBA) 99th Annual Convention at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. Both Patricia and Sharon underscored in their remarks the importance of mentoring, sponsorship, and advocacy for other attorneys, especially women and people of diverse backgrounds.
In April 2018, Patricia Brown Holmes was unanimously elected RSHC’s first Managing Partner, and she was the first Black woman to lead and have her name on the door of a national law firm that is not women- or minority-owned. Formed in 2010, the AAMPGC is a network of African American lawyers in the United States who currently manage or have managed an Am Law 200 law firm. Join us in congratulating Patricia and Sharon!
