Daily Law Bulletin Features RSHC Partner Ron Safer’s Record-Setting Win in Wrongful Conviction Suit
RSHC partner Ronald S. Safer was interviewed for the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s “How I Did It” feature, discussing the record-setting verdict in a recent civil suit related to his wrongful conviction work. A former federal prosecutor and experienced commercial litigator, Ron has successfully handled numerous wrongful conviction cases and has a long history of trying civil matters, but this case was the first he took on that would combine both areas of law. Ron and his team, including Matthew C. Crowl, Sandra L. Musumeci, Eli Litoff, Valerie H. Brummel, and Art Mitzel, secured a record $25.2 million for a Chicago man who spent more than 22 years in jail on a wrongful conviction. That jury award for Eddie Bolden, 51, sealed a complete vindication after years of legal battles.
